Alison Akester Architects is a small rural practice based in East Hertfordshire.  Established in 2018, the practice has worked extensively within the residential sector creating and adapting homes to meet the needs of modern day living.  We pride ourselves on ensuring that we are client focused, listening, understanding the brief and working closely throughout to create a beautiful and practical home.

 

Specialising in residential new builds, renovations, conversions and extensions, we have experience of working on all types of properties, including listed buildings, and within complex contexts such as conservation areas or where there are a number of planning constraints.  

 

We understand the importance of high-quality design and response to context, light, views, connectivity and functionality are embedded in our design philosophy.  We are always looking to enhance the energy performance of homes and create a healthy environment and therefore we work with our clients to agree a strategy that is suitable for their particular site and budget.
